BLM is growing in both popularity and influence. Whether it be extremists at riots or casual hashtags on t-shirts, we see it everywhere. Gas stations, grocery stores, sporting events, even the name of a major street in Washington DC – and its all said to be aimed at dismantling the destructive ideologies systematically persevered within the framework of institutional racism.
The Bible has anticipated false ideologies like racism and has refused being silenced by politically correct social movements since antiquity. Anytime something gains mass viral endorsement that transcends geopolitical lines, sharp-minded Christians should be asking “why”? Who are the founders of BLM? Could there be another agenda obfuscated by the BLM narrative? How can a society weed out racism without the help or power of Jesus Christ? These are but a few of the questions sharp-minded Christians should be seeking the answers to.
Is BLM simply a social justice organization focused on the humane treatment of others, or might the “black” in Black Lives Matter have nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with a dark spiritual heritage?
