History of Halloween

What if I told you that the second most lucratively-celebrated holy day in America was really just a well orchestrated ruse designed to elicit the unknowing participation of the masses in a large-scale parody intended to evoke worship of the ancient ancestral spirits residing in the United States?

Scripture clearly warns us to take extreme measures in avoiding all forms of occultism and it accurately records the disastrous results when that warning isn’t heeded. Yet, western society has not only decided to ignore Yahweh’s warning, we even choose to have an annual festival that initiates participants into the occult while celebrating all things spooky. Are we blatantly ignoring the dangers lurking behind our traditions with rationale like “its only candy”, or “no one is practicing the rituals of the past?” But are such responses sufficient enough to ward off the very real and well documented spiritual darkness hidden behind our modern occult festivals?

Are we in danger of suffering the same fate that befell ancient cultures which participated in similar festivities as part of their pagan worship and in turn conjured the wrath of Yahweh? Is Halloween a holiday that deserves to be considered holy and celebrated as such, or might it be better regarded by the serious-minded Christian as a time that honors our sworn enemy; a day to be held in high caution and avoided at all costs?
